Make pixel art online

Everything runs inside this page. No download, no account, no extension — which means it also works on the machines that will not let you install anything.

Or choose a file. Your image is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Open this page on whatever device you have

A school Chromebook, a work laptop with locked-down software, a phone on the bus. If the browser can open an image, it can do this.

  2. Add a photo from the device you are on

Drag a file in, or tap to open the picker — on a phone that offers the camera roll directly. Nothing is sent anywhere; the file is read into the page.

  3. Adjust with the controls beside the canvas

On a narrow screen the controls live in a drawer that slides up without covering the artwork, so you can still see what each change does.

  4. Save straight to the device

Download writes a PNG to wherever that device puts downloads. There is no project to save, no link to keep, and no file left on a server.

What people use it for

  • Working on a managed or school computer

Installers are blocked on most of them, and asking IT is slower than the whole task. A browser tab needs no permission from anyone.

  • Making something on a phone

The full flow — load, adjust, edit, download — works on a touchscreen. Desktop pixel art software has no mobile equivalent worth using.

  • Using a machine that is not yours

A library computer, a friend's laptop, a shared workstation. Nothing is installed and no account is left signed in behind you.

  • One-off jobs that do not justify software

You need a single pixel-art avatar. Installing and learning an editor for that is disproportionate; a tab is not.

  • Handling photos you would rather not upload

Family pictures, work-in-progress art, anything under NDA. The processing happens locally, so there is no copy on someone else's disk to worry about.

Why this one

  • Genuinely offline after the page loads

Conversion runs in a Web Worker on your own processor. Once the tab is open you can lose your connection entirely and everything still works.

  • No sign-up wall in front of the result

The tool is usable the second the page renders. Nothing asks for an email before showing you what it does, because there is no account system at all.

  • Built for narrow screens, not shrunk down to fit

The canvas stays pinned in view while the controls slide over the lower half. Competing tools put the sliders on a screen where you cannot see the picture.

  • No queue, no rate limit, no credits

Server-side tools ration you because each conversion costs them money. Running on your device costs us nothing, so nothing needs rationing.

  • Nothing is stored, including in your browser

No cookies, no local storage, no history of what you made. Closing the tab is the whole cleanup process.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create an account?
There is no account system at all. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to log into, and no email address collected at any point in the flow.
Which browsers does this work in?
Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop or mobile. It relies on Canvas and Web Workers, both of which have been standard for years.
Does it work on an iPad or an Android tablet?
Yes, and tablets are a good fit — the canvas is large enough to touch individual pixels accurately, which is the one thing phones make awkward.
Can I keep working if my connection drops?
Yes. Everything after the initial page load runs locally, so a dropped connection has no effect on converting, editing, or downloading.
Is there a desktop version?
No, and there is not meant to be. An installable version would only add an update process to something that already runs at full speed in a tab.
